SURFACE TEXTURES
The front texture is centered around the short dense pile of the face, it’s very soft, hands slide over it smoothly without resistance. The back texture is very different to the front, still soft but a lot coarser without the pile. The feel on the body, the velvet face is very desirable, its tactile quality is very pleasing to the skin. Regarding draping, it’s quite a strong stiff fabric, with a tight weave it’s got a good structure which holds shapes well and returns to its shape easily.
USAGE
With a great recovery, this fabric is highly suitable for use in cushions, upholstery, bags and many more homeware and accessory options. Great results during Abrasion testing, rated 1-5, 5 being best. Velvet Shimmer achieved grade 4-5 across all colors, wet and dry, with slight shade change after 3,000 rubs - Grade 4. Surface Textures
